JUNIPER SECURITY ENGINEER

Title: Juniper Security Engineer

Location: US-TX-Houston

Targeted Start 11/26/2012

Overview:

The Juniper Security Engineer will provide hands on management and maintenance of various Juniper security technologies that need to be integrated into the corporate environment as a result of acquisition.

 

Contract Length: 4-6 months

 

Location: Houston, TX will consider travel

 

T&E Provided: Yes

 

Responsibilities:

 

The Juniper Security Engineer will be responsible for integrating a Juniper environment with an existing Cisco environment and perform the daily management and maintenance of: 
     Juniper SRX240 Routing Firewalls 
     SSL VPN 
     Switching and routing; 

     Work with all application teams to ensure that the rules they need to work on the firewall are submitted and documented properly 
     Responsible for documentation of all firewall rules in the enterprise. 
     Work with Information Security in mitigation and remediation of all firewall audit findings. 
     Work with Operational teams to ensure they are following configuration guidelines.

 

Qualifications:

 

Experience commensurate with 4+ years: 
      Hands-on experience administering Juniper SRX 240 routing firewalls and VPN. 
      Experience with Juniper Network Security Manager (NSM) 
      Must have expertise in routing protocols over VPN and NAT’ing 
      Advanced log analysis, network monitoring, network flow analysis, packet capture analysis, network proxies, firewalls 
      Solid knowledge in of all core internet protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, etc) 
      Process and detail oriented 
      Strong written and verbal communication skills 
      Experience with SRX and SSG Netscreens and SA’s for remote access is nice to have.

 

Desired Education:

 

High School or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

 

Desired Certifications:

 

CISSP – desired, Juniper Certifications (JNCIS, JNCIA) preferred
